This notice explains how Savanna Smullen, trading as Savanna Smullen Makeup Artistry, handles the personal information you share through this website. It is written with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) in mind.

What I collect
When you send an enquiry, I collect the details you choose to give: your name, email address, phone number if you add one, Instagram handle if you add one, and the details of your event, such as the date, location, venue, the number of people needing hair or makeup, your planner's name and anything you write in the message fields.
Please don't include sensitive information, such as health details, unless it's genuinely needed to plan your makeup safely. If it is, tell me only what's necessary.
Why I use it
- To reply to your enquiry, check availability and prepare a quotation.
- If you book, to plan your service and coordinate timings with you and, where you've asked me to, your planner or other suppliers.
- To keep the records I need to run my business.
Sending an enquiry does not sign you up to marketing. I don't send marketing emails from this website.
Where it is stored
Enquiries sent through the website form are delivered to a Google Sheet and to my email inbox, both held in my Google account. Google may process this information outside South Africa under its own data protection terms. If you use my Google Form or email me directly, your details are held in the same way.
How long I keep it
If your enquiry doesn't become a booking, I delete it within 12 months. If you book, I keep your details for as long as I need them to provide the service and for any period required by law, for example for tax records.
Who I share it with
I don't sell your information. I share it only when needed for your booking, for example with your planner or another artist working with me on your day, and only with your knowledge.
Analytics and cookies
This website does not use analytics or advertising cookies.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information I hold about you, ask me to correct it or delete it, or object to how I use it. Email sav.smullen@gmail.com and I'll respond as quickly as I can.
If you're unhappy with how I've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za.
